And finally… bibbidi-bobbidi-booted
Members of an exclusive Disney club have lost a legal bid to be re-admitted after allegations one of them was drunk in public.
Scott and Diana Anderson, both 60, visited Disney’s two Anaheim theme parks in California 60 to 80 times a year and paid dues of $31,500 (c. £24,100). The couple were spending close to $125,000 (c. £96,000) annually to indulge their habit.
Membership of Club 33 includes access to exclusive lounges as well as VIP tours, special events and dining.
But in 2017 Scott Anderson was accused of being drunk in public, prompting Disney to revoke his and his wife’s membership.
Diana Anderson said the move was “a stab in the heart”. In the intervening years the Andersons have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to get back into Club 33 but an Orange County jury has now rejected their claim that Disney had ousted them improperly.
The couple, however, plan to appeal.
“I’ll sell a kidney,” Diana said. “I don’t care.”
