And finally… Tokyo burnout

And finally... Tokyo burnout

A Japanese music producer’s dream of owning a Ferrari turned into a nightmare when his newly acquired 458 Spider burst into flames just hours after he took delivery.

The producer, known as Honkon, 33, had reportedly saved for 10 years to purchase the supercar.

The incident occurred on the Shuto Expressway in Tokyo. Honkon noticed the fire while driving and managed to pull over and escape the vehicle safely before it was engulfed. Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 20 minutes, but the Ferrari, valued by The Sun at £220,000, was almost completely destroyed, leaving only part of the front bumper intact.

And finally... Tokyo burnout

Honkon's posts on X regarding the incident

No collision preceded the fire, and the specific cause remains unknown. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the incident.

Honkon shared his ordeal on social media, posting on X: “My Ferrari burned to ashes an hour after delivery. I bet I’m the only one in all of Japan to experience this kind of trouble.”
