Action star Sylvester Stallone has auctioned off 11 watches from his personal collection, raising a total of $6.7 million (around £5.3m).
The highlight of the Sotheby’s auction was the sale of his Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime, a watch so rare and complex that it fetched $5.4m (around £4.25m), exceeding expectations, SCMP reports.
Mr Stallone, who has been collecting watches for decades, shared his perspective on the hobby, saying, “It’s not about keeping time, it’s about keeping in step with where you are in life”.
