And finally... that's the spirit

One of the world’s oldest whiskies is set to go up for auction after it was discovered in a cellar at Blair Castle in Perthshire.

The Scotch, which is said to be one of the oldest in the world, is believed to have been distilled nearly 200 years ago and may have been drunk by Queen Victoria, who visited the castle and developed a taste for the whisky and honey combination named Atholl Brose.

About 40 bottles of the whiskey were discovered in late last year when Bertie Troughton, resident trustee at Blair Castle, discovered the bottles in the cellar.

A total of 24 bottles are now going on sale individually via Perth-based business Whisky Auctioneer, STV News reports.

The bottles will go up for auction on November 24 until December 4.
