And finally… ruff flight
A New Zealand couple have received a $1,410 NZD (around £960) refund after spending a 13-hour flight seated next to a farting dog.
Gill and Warren Press faced the unanticipated inconvenience on their premium economy flight from Paris to Singapore.
Upon meeting their furry companion, they considered the option presented by a flight attendant to relocate to economy. Initially, they decided to tolerate their situation, but the canine’s persistent indiscretions post-dinner service compelled them to accept the attendant’s offer.
Dissatisfied with the airline’s lack of immediate response post-flight, Gill pursued a rightful compensation for their diminished travel experience, and after persistent negotiations, Singapore Airlines conceded, reimbursing the couple approximately $1,410 NZD (£960).
The couple says they plan to donate the money to Blind Low Vision NZ, an organisation dedicated to pairing service dogs with the visually impaired, insider.com reports.
