A man who phoned a hoax bomb threat to an airport in order to delay a flight he was worried about missing has been jailed.
Dana Carter, 40, will serve a four-month jail sentence on weekends only - spreading out the punishment over 60 weeks.
Carter and another woman were due to fly out of Northern Kentucky Airport to Dallas on 22 October 2016 but were running late, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.
He then phoned a bomb threat to the airport in the hopes of delaying the flight just long enough to reach the airport.
The plan did not go well.
