And finally… piles of gold
Four men have been charged in connection with the theft of a solid gold toilet worth £5 million more than four years ago.
The fully-functioning 18-carat toilet, named America, was stolen from Blenheim Palace in England days after it was installed as an art piece.
Because it was plumbed in, the theft led to extensive flooding in the Duke of Marlborough’s country home, which dates to the 18th century.
The four men – Michael Jones, James Sheen, Fred Doe and Bora Guccuk – will appear in court in Oxford later this month on an assortment of burglary and transfer of criminal property charges, the BBC reports.
The toilet itself, designed by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, has yet to be recovered.
