And finally… picture this
Two paintings by Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso have been found in a basement in Antwerp, 14 years after they were stolen from an the home of an Israeli art collector.
The two paintings – Tête by Picasso and Chagall’s L’homme en prière – were taken from a Tel Aviv villa owned by the Herzikovich family in February 2010.
In 2010, the paintings were valued at $900,000 (£710,000). The same robbery saw jewellery worth $680,000 (£536,000) stolen from a safe – which has never been recovered, the Guardian reports.
After a raid on the property in Antwerp, the paintings were found undamaged and still in their original frames, according to local police. The main suspect was charged with receiving two paintings and placed under arrest.
