And finally... pay what you want

Twitter is facing a court battle with the company that manages the King’s public estate after allegedly failing to pay rent on its London office.

The new lawsuit filed by the Crown Estate comes just weeks after the owner of Twitter’s California HQ filed a similar complaint over unpaid rent.

Last month, The New York Times claimed that Twitter had ceased to pay rent on all of its offices worldwide as part of a cost-cutting exercise.

Elon Musk, who bought the social media company in a $44 billion deal last year, has already sought to dramatically cut costs through lay-offs and an auction of Twitter property.

The Crown Estate initiated proceedings in the High Court in London last week in regards to office space near Piccadilly Circus, the BBC reports.
