And finally… munchies
A cannabis business has been sanctioned for handing out free ice cream.
While cannabis can now be bought and sold for recreational use in Ohio, one dealer has been slapped with a fine of $150,000 (c. £115,000) for handing out free sweet treats as well.
Ohio’s Division of Cannabis Control said Greenleaf Apothecaries had breached strict advertising rules, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The business was allegedly giving out food and beverages from an ice cream truck, advertising “Free Ice Cream” on social media and using an unapproved sign.
Five businesses in total have been fined a total of $212,000 for breaching advertising rules in the state, where legal recreational cannabis sales began last month.
