And finally… Johns to Jennifers
Women CEOs now surpass the number of CEOs named John in S&P 500 companies, with 41 female leaders compared to 23 named John or Jon, including an exciting twist of three CEOs named Jennifer, according to new analysis from Bloomberg.
This progress highlights a shift for women in corporate America. However, using the Glass Ceiling index, women still lag behind with 60 CEOs named James/Robert/John compared to 41 female CEOs.
Although surpassing Johns is an achievement, women hold only 8.2% of CEO roles in large companies.
