And finally… in Vogue

Vogue magazine has apologised to a Cornish pub after requesting the centuries-old establishment to change its name.

The Star Inn at Vogue refused to change its name after receiving the original request from the magazine in March, highlighting that the pub was named after the hamlet in which it is located near Redruth and has been around for longer than Vogue magazine, RTE reports.

Publisher Condé Nast subsequently backed down, conceding it would have spotted its error had it investigated further, and landlords Mark and Rachel Graham received a framed copy of the response earlier this week.

A cover note read: “From one Vogue to another - please accept our apologies.”
