And finally… Grand Prix excess
The Miami Grand Prix recently attracted attention for more than just Formula One racing — it also featured exorbitantly priced food items, leaving attendees shocked.
Hard Rock Beach Club’s menu stood out with its $250 (£200) watermelon and tomatillo salad, $450 (£357) Maine lobster rolls, $500 (£400) U-5 chilled prawns, and $295 (£235) fruit salad, with an optional ounce of caviar for an extra $400 (£318).
The $500 (£400) F1 Platter, consisting of hamburger sliders, ribeye quesadilla, and chicken tenders, served four people but still amounted to over $100 (£80) per serving. Desserts also carried hefty price tags, with three types of ice cream priced at $245 (£195), motor1.com reports.
Drinks were no exception, with a bottle of Tito’s vodka costing $560 (£445) and a bucket of 16-ounce Heineken bottles priced at $50 (£40).
While the event featured over 65 restaurants, including local eateries and food trucks, these extreme examples left a sour taste for some racegoers.
