And finally… gold standard
A unique solid gold letter studden with 24 rubies is the iconic item in a new exhibition at the British Museum.
The letter reveals some of the history of Myanmar, being sent by the Burmese King Alaungpaya to George II in 1756.
The letter survived solely because King George II ignored it and sent it to his personal library where it lay unnoticed for many years, the Evening Standard reports.
The exhibition will run from 2 November to 11 February.
