Businesses in Ontario, Canada are attaching card readers to hockey sticks to allow customers to pay for goods while adhering to social distancing measures.
Businesses have been advised that customers and employees should remain a “hockey stick length” apart and businesses are taking the rules literally.
Photos of machines taped to the end of a hockey stick and stuck through car windows across Ontario are surfacing on the internet.
Some photos appear to be taken at drive-thru windows, while others show gas station employees using the sticks to receive payments from a distance, Narcity reports.
