Filth star James McAvoy has donated over a quarter of a million pounds to the NHS to help distribute protective gear to fight the coronavirus outbreak.
The Glaswegian Hollywood star donated £275,000 to a crowdfunding campaign raising money providing equipment to NHS frontline staff.
The crowdfunding campaign has now raised over £500,000, surpassing the £200,000 initial funding target.
NHS medics launched the fundraiser earlier this week, STV news reports.
