And finally… field of dreams
Two gold coins, spanning 1,500 years in their origin, have been unearthed within 400 metres of each other in a farmer’s field.
The ancient treasures include a Celtic gold stater from around 65 BC and a 14th-century Edward III quarter noble.
The “field of dreams” as it is now being called, yielded not just these coins but also musket ammunition, Bronze Age axes, and a Roman coin during a group dig. The astronishing find was made by Jasper Hyde, who has only been metal detecting for nine months, the BBC reports.
