And finally… dire straits
Dire Straits star Mark Knopfler is to auction more than 120 of his guitars and amps, with a total of 25% of the proceeds pledged to go to charity.
The collection, which includes the 1983 Les Paul that he used to record Dire Straits’ songs Money for Nothing and Brothers in Arms, will be sold at Christie’s in London in January.
One of the guitars, a 1959 Les Paul with a sunburst finish, has an estimated sale price of £300,000 to £500,000, BBC News reports.
