And finally… cash in the attic
A 112-year-old tin of chocolates made during the reign of Queen Victoria have been sold for over £500.
The tin was recently found a Lincolnshire attic among in a box of junk, Metro reports.
Made in 1899 during the Boer War to send to soldiers, the tin of chocolates, a Rowntree’s product, contains several bars of chocolate. They are unlike modern confectionary which would have long spoiled.
Expecting to fetch £100 to £200 at auction, the seller was happily surprised with a final sale of £440 (rising to £512 after fees).
