And finally… a hole lot of action
The appearance of graffiti has sped up the repair and reopening of an Edinburgh road, it would seem.
According to X user Andy Arthur, Scottish Water “dug a very deep hole” at the end of Dalmeny Street to investigate a leak, closed the road and then downed tools for over a month.
In dismay at the lack of activity, locals took matters into their own hands on Friday, spraying some motivational messaging to speed up the work.
Returning to the site today, Andy was pleased to find that the graffiti was gone and the hole was filled.
“The system works,” he posted.
