And finally… a fine day out
A couple has been fined after they drove over 250 miles from their home in London to have a day out in Cornwall.
Police issued a penalty notice to the couple after they decided to get out of London for ‘some fresh air’ and headed for Newquay which is several hours’ drive away, LADBible reports.
The East Cornwall Specials explained what happened on Twitter in an attempt to discourage everyone else from breaking the coronavirus lockdown restrictions in a similar fashion.
The police wrote: “Whilst on patrol in Newquay this afternoon penalty notices were issued to a couple who had travelled down from London for the day to get some fresh air.”
