Building on the successful launch of its Edinburgh office in May 2019, the firm has said that the appointment of Amy McVey demonstrates its further commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients across the UK.

Ms Mcvey joins Burges Salmon from the banking and finance team at Brodies having previously worked at The Royal Bank of Scotland.

She will help develop Burges Salmon’s Scottish banking practice, with particular focus on financial restructurings, leveraged finance, real estate finance and corporate lending.

Ms McVey’s appointment takes the firm’s Banking team in Scotland to three, which also comprises partner Stuart McMillan (who is focused advising clients in the infrastructure, real estate and energy sectors) and solicitor Stephanie Lynch.
