Allied Surveyors Scotland appoints David Harvey as senior commercial valuer
David Harvey has joined the Allied Surveyors Scotland team as a senior commercial valuer at the firm’s Edinburgh office.
David’s appointment comes quickly after the announcement in June, that the former Scotland rugby internationalist Gavin Kerr had been recruited by Allied as a senior building surveyor.
David, 43, has joined the surveyors from the Lothian Valuation Joint Board, where he was employed as a senior valuer for 15 years, latterly holding the position of Divisional Valuer.
He will now be based out of Allied Surveyors’ Walker Street office in the west end of Edinburgh.
Mr Harvey said: “This is an exciting move to one of Scotland’s largest firms of Chartered Surveyors and I look forward to providing a dedicated commercial valuation service for our wide range of clients.”
Chris Highton, director and vice-chairman of Allied Surveyors Scotland, said: “We are continuing to invest in our business and David represents a vital addition in our efforts to service our commercial property clients”.
In providing commercial valuation services, David will be working closely with the firm’s east coast commercial agency department which was launched in April 2018 by Iain Mercer.
Mr Mercer, director of commercial agency east, said: “David brings with him a skill-set and level of experience which will further enhance what we are offering as a firm in commercial property.”
