Stuart Wardle and Paul Sokhi celebrate opening of Kingsacre Suites earlier in 2019, luxury care home in Duntocher outside Glasgow

Queens View Luxury Suites will comprise 56 suites for residents alongside a lounge, cocktail bar, cinema, hair salon and spa and a private dining room. A range of care services will be delivered on-site, including residential, nursing and respite care.

The development will create around 85 jobs, including nursing, domiciliary and hospitality roles.

Paul Sokhi, managing director of Morrison Community Care Group, said: “Our 30 years of experience in the industry has shown us that people want to have fun in their old age and we want to encourage this through design and environment.

“Allied Irish Bank (GB) understands our ethos and commitment to the highest quality of care. We hope to begin construction on the site soon and we’re working towards opening in early 2021.”

Stuart Wardle, senior relationship manager at Allied Irish Bank, said: “We’ve worked with Morrison Community Care Group for three decades and had no hesitation about financing the new facility in Troon.

“They are established operators with an excellent track record at caring for patients, which is something we take into consideration when working with healthcare clients.

“We’re proud to be working with an industry leader to create state-of-the-art, luxury facilities for older people in Ayrshire.”

Morrison Community Care Group opened Kingsacre Luxury Suites in Duntocher, just outside Glasgow, earlier this year and has owned and operated Abbotsford Care Home in Bearsden for 30 years.
