Alison Sellar founded activpayroll 20 years ago and has since led the organisation’s global team, whilst Euan has played a fundamental role in building the firm’s world-wide operations and unique culture. As of 28th May, the pair will be stepping back from their current roles and moving into Non-Executive Director positions, with continued involvement in the business at Board level.

The new roles will enable the Sellars to continue to support the business and global team, whilst taking a more active role in philanthropic causes close to their hearts.

Since receiving investment from Tenzing, the Founder-focused growth investor, at the start of 2020, activpayroll has gone from strength to strength. To ensure the organisation’s continued focus on world-class service and technological innovation, Alison and the Board have collaborated in building an exceptional management team to lead the business into its next chapter, with several significant senior hires. This stellar group is aligned around a shared goal to build activpayroll into the leading global multi-country payroll outsourcing platform and a trusted partner for clients around the world.

Ms Sellor’s successor, whose identity will be revealed next month, has been a CEO in a number of leading international businesses and will be joining in July. His focus will be on supporting customer service excellence and investing in product innovation.

The new CEO will be joined by an additional high-calibre hire, new COO, Iain McGregor (ex-Ceridian and SD Worx), starting in July, and the existing senior management team of Nick Southwell (CFO), David Deacon (CPO) and Jim Faulds (Chair), who are all focused on supporting the team in delivering renowned customer service.
