Accountants Plus has acquired part of fellow Hamilton-based accountancy and business advisory firm John Di Mambro & Co.

This is the fourth acquisition for Accountants Plus, bringing its headcount to 35. The move reinforces its growth strategy to enhance its service offerings, broaden its client base, and strengthen its position in the Scottish market.

John Di Mambro and Alan McClelland, former partners at John Di Mambro & Co, will continue as senior consultants. Frank Duncan, Scott McKeown, Cameron Stokes, and Karen Kelly are all joining the Accountants Plus team.

“This merger marks an important step in our growth strategy,” said Bryan Wood, founder and senior partner of Accountants Plus. “John Di Mambro & Co. has built an excellent reputation over many years, and we are excited to welcome their talented team to our firm. We are well-positioned to deliver a wider range of services, leveraging our combined resources and larger team.”

“We believe that this merger represents a significant opportunity to expand the level of services offered to our largest clients,” added Mr Di Mambro. “Finding a partner firm who shared our commitment to quality and client care was important.

“After many years of consideration, I’m pleased to have found the perfect fit in Accountants Plus – and they were just down the street! I’m confident that the combined strengths of both firms will ensure that our clients continue to receive the highest level of service and support throughout Scotland.”

As part of its support for the local community, Accountants Plus is hosting the Charities Conference 2024, a regional event for the Scottish charity sector. It will be held on Thursday, 24 October 2024, from 11 am to 2.30 pm at the Low Parks Museum in Hamilton. This event is designed to equip Scottish charities with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, influenced by the latest changes under the Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Act 2023.
