Accountant named as new Wood Group senior director
One of Scotland’s leading chartered accountants is to become senior independent director of Aberdeen-based off-shore giant Wood Group.
Jann Brown will take up the role at the oil services giant in May when the incumbent, David Woodward, retires from the board at the general meeting on May 11.
Wood’s chairman, Ian Marchant, said Ms Brown would serve the group well.
Ms Brown is a former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and chief financial officer of Cairn Energy.
She has been a non-executive director of Wood Group since 2014 and is chairman of the board’s Audit Committee.
Mr Marchant said Mr Woodward had been a major influence in Wood Group’s development during his nine years on the board.
Jeremy Wilson will succeed Mr Woodward as chairman of the group’s Remuneration Committee.
