ACCA moves forward with new Glasgow office fit-out

The fit-out of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants new 55,750 sq ft offices in Glasgow has taken a major step forward after a contractor for the work was appointed.

The global professional accounting body is to occupy the first, second and third floors at 110 Queen Street, relocating circa 650 people from its existing Glasgow offices at Central Quay and Hydepark Street.

The job has been awarded to Paisley-based Clark Contracts and the firm has now started on site, with completion due in October and relocation taking place in November.

The contractor’s in-house joinery workshop will be manufacturing a number of custom built bespoke items such as reception desks, bespoke ceiling and a feature wall.

The design of the space is heavily influenced by the recently completed fit-out of ACCA’s London head office in the iconic Adelphi Building, with the ACCA brand and new ways of working being embedded.

The space, design and fit out will provide a modern working environment for ACCA staff that’s efficient, effective, making the best use of collaborative work and meeting spaces.”

The new space will be complete for occupation by ACCA in early November 2016, only 8 months after the initial discussions between ACCA and C&W’s design team.”

Clark Contracts has a track record of high spec office fit outs in Glasgow, completing similar office projects for among others The Weir Group, Pinsent Masons, Ernst and Young and Maclay Murray and Spens.
