AAB commits to hybrid working for all staff

Anderson Anderson & Brown (AAB), the tech-enabled business critical services group, has implemented hybrid working policies for all staff across its Aberdeen, Edinburgh and London offices.

The formalised shift follows discussions and feedback between the business leaders and staff, all of which began before COVID-19 struck but was accelerated by the pandemic in preparation for post lockdown working life.

The policy, which took effect from 1 April 2021, is now written into all employee’s contracts, enabling them to work in a blended way between working from home, working from any of the AAB offices or anywhere else. The changes cover all 285 existing AAB staff and will be present in new start contracts also.

Graeme Allan, AAB chief executive, said: “I am immensely proud that we are one of the first to formally implement hybrid working across our business and hope it paves the way for more to follow, as we continue adapting to a new working world.

“Pre-pandemic we already had a flexible working culture, however we continually strive to make improvements and enhance our awesome client experience, as well as the working environment for our talented team.

“Opportunities identified as a result of lockdown and working from home accelerated our already flexible platform, and by utilising technology it provides benefits for clients and staff. This was something we wanted to formalise coming out of lockdown and we’ve experienced an overwhelmingly positive response already.”
