Wright, Johnston & MacKenzie announces series of promotions in Scotland



Law firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP has announced a number of promotions across its offices in Scotland.

Sarahjane Drake, Lauren Farquhar, Kristin MacDonald and Kathlee Docherty

The firm is celebrating the promotion of four members of staff; two to associate and two to senior solicitor.   

Sarajane Drake, from the firm’s commercial property team in Glasgow and Kirstin MacDonald, in the corporate team at the Inverness office, have each been promoted to the role of associate.

Ms Drake, who joined WJM in 2018, works with a diverse client base including investors, sellers, developers, landlords and tenants, helping them through the process of buying, selling and leasing commercial property. 

Ms MacDonald, who has worked at WJM for six years, provides a fully rounded legal service to family businesses and business families in the Highlands and Islands, assisting clients on both business and personal matters.

Kathleen Docherty, from the firm’s private client team in Glasgow, and Lauren Farquhar who also works in private client in Inverness, have been promoted to senior solicitors.

They specialise in a range of in private client matters, including preparation of wills, trusts and power of attorney; along with succession planning, tax and administering estates.
