Watson Wood appoints new financial planner

Watson Wood Financial Planning has announced the appointment of Martyn Percival who joins the Inverness-based firm as its third financial planner from Johnston Carmichael’s wealth management division.

Watson Wood is the only Highland-based firm to hold Accredited Financial Planning FirmTM status awarded by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and are among only eight firms in Scotland who have this status.

Accredited Financial Planning FirmsTM represent excellence in Financial Planning service as identified by Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). They have been assessed by the CISI and demonstrate professionalism through the calibre of their staff and the service they provide to clients.



The CISI recognises these firms as leaders in the profession, in addition to recognising individual excellence in Financial Planning via Financial Planning qualifications such as Certified Financial PlannerCM certification, the globally recognised standard of excellence in Financial Planning.

Accredited Financial Planning Firms must meet CISI’s strict criteria, abide by the code of ethics and practice standards of their professional body, and demonstrate the highest standards of Financial Planning practice.

At the same time, Watson Wood said that Kirsty Innes has been promoted to Trainee Paraplanner after starting as a Graduate with the firm last year.
