St. James’s Place to provide financial advisor career guidance for women in Glasgow

St. James’s Place Wealth Management is hosting a free-to-attend event aimed at exploring the ever-increasing career opportunities for women in financial advice and wealth management, by hosting an open evening in Glasgow.

The event, which takes place from 6pm at St. James’s Place House, 168 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 2NR, will welcome women in the area who may be considering a change of career, and show how they can establish a career path as a financial adviser through the St. James’s Place Academy.

Attendees will hear from women advisers who have successfully made the transition to a career in financial advice and wealth management, who either run their own business or work within one of the many practices in Scotland.

Spaces are limited, so individuals interested in attending are asked to register in advance online at: www.sjpacademy.co.uk/events/upcoming-event/opportunities-for-women-glasgow-june19.aspx

Shaun Godfrey, head of academy engagement at St. James’s Place, said: “We and the public are calling for more women to join the financial advice profession. This event will give attendees the chance to hear first-hand from others who have successfully made the transition into a career in financial advice and wealth management.

The Academy’s training programme provides people with an unrivalled opportunity to build a career in wealth management. A quarter of all people to have joined the Academy since its launch are women, and this is a number we are determined to drive upwards by investing further in events such as this.”

The event is an initiative run by the St. James’s Place Academy, which offers training and development for individuals looking to become qualified financial planning and wealth advice professionals.Upon graduation, trainees have the opportunity to establish their own financial advice and wealth management business or join an established St. James’s Place practice as a professional adviser.
