New Edinburgh appointment at Grant Thornton as firm continues growth in Scotland

A new Tax Associate Director has been appointed at the Scottish firm of Grant Thornton, as the financial and business adviser implements its growth strategy in Scotland.

James Strang has a wealth of experience spanning more than 14 years’, including 9 years in his previous post at EY, specialising in the oil and gas sector.

The Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser will be based at Grant Thornton’s Edinburgh office where he’ll provide international tax advice and support to a range of clients, including large corporates.

Vishal Chopra, Grant Thornton’s Head of Tax in Scotland, said: “James has a wealth of experience working with some of the world’s best known brands and assisting the oil and gas sector through a particularly challenging time. His knowledge on international tax combined with his commitment and passion will be a great asset to Grant Thornton as we continue to drive forward our Scottish growth strategy.”
