Law firm Morton Fraser has appointed one of Scotland’s most respected restructuring and insolvency lawyers, Yvonne Brady, as head of strategy - restructuring and insolvency.

The position has been created by Morton Fraser specifically for Ms Brady, who began her role on Monday 12th April.

Ms Brady’s career spans 30 years in the restructuring and insolvency market in Scotland. She joins from Shepherd and Wedderburn, where she was partner in corporate recovery, and head of diversity, development and inclusion.



In 2019, Ms Brady was named Best Professional in Business at the Scottish Women’s Awards and was also inducted in to the Legal 500 Hall of Fame the previous year.

Yvonne has also held roles at DLA Piper LLP and HBJ Gateley (now Addleshaws) and holds numerous charity roles – she is a Trustee on the board of Quarriers and Convenor of the Law Society of Scotland Insolvency Specialists Committee, and is one of the Trustees of the Leuchie Forever Fund which supports a specialist respite care provider in East Lothian.
