Dundee-based accountancy firm MHA Henderson Loggie has appointed Jaslin Bhagrath as head of accounting and business solutions.

She takes up the role from today as the firm builds on its ambitions to be first choice for owner-managed businesses across Scotland.

Ms Bhagrath has over 20 years of accountancy experience and joins from global network Azets, formerly Scott Moncrieff in Scotland, where she was director of the Business Advisory Group. Prior to that she worked with Whitelaw Wells in Edinburgh and trained with an independent firm in Aberdeen.

David Smith, MHA Henderson Loggie managing partner, said: “The Pandemic has thrown up many challenges to businesses and we have worked hard to support our clients throughout. We are now looking to the future and Jaslin’s appointment is an important one for the firm.

“It allows us to leverage over two decades of experience and to sharpen our focus on growing market share and helping clients to embrace the full potential of digitalisation of accounting processes. Jaslin’s skill in driving growth and performance and her strong network will be valuable in her new role.”

Jaslin Bhagrath added: “I’m excited to be joining the team at MHA Henderson Loggie. It is one of the country’s leading independent firms. They are ambitious, forward thinking with a great business ethos that puts strong client relationships front and centre, using digital processes to drive excellent client service. The accountant’s role has changed in recent years with the rise of cloud accounting.

“Real-time information allows us, as accountants, to be more proactive trusted advisors to our clients, as well as improving efficiencies. I look forward to working with the leadership team to further scale the business.”
