Award-winning filmmakers will discuss their careers at a series of public events sponsored by Johnston Carmichael as part of Edinburgh International Film Festival 2019.

The accountancy firm’s Edinburgh office is supporting the “In Person” strand of events, which this year includes appearances from legendary filmmaker Danny Boyle among others.

Mr Boyle is attending the festival for the Scottish première of his new film, Yesterday.

Other In Person events this year include award-winning actor and producer Jack Lowden; British documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield, whose documentary Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love will screen at the festival; and Scottish writer, director and actor Pollyanna McIntosh, whose films Darlin’ and The Woman are showing at the festival.

Mark Stewart, Edinburgh office managing partner at Johnston Carmichael, said: “Johnston Carmichael is delighted to be partnering with the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2019 and sponsoring the ‘In Person’ strand, aligning our sharp minds with the sharp minds in the film industry and the insights they can offer.

“As managing partner of our Edinburgh office, it’s fantastic to be involved with something on such a large stage, happening right here on our doorstep.”
