Infinity, which has a UK-wide client base, is recognised for its accountancy, research and development tax relief, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance expertise. More than 80% of its clients are involved in the energy sector.

Simon Cowie, managing partner at the Aberdeen practice, won Accountancy Professional of the Year at the 2020 IRIS Customer Awards. This caps a remarkable double after Infinity Partnership associate director Greg Houston won the same award at the previous event.

In addition, the Infinity team collected the Client Excellence Firm of the Year Award at the International Convention Centre. Infinity was the only Scottish practice to be shortlisted in the accountancy section of these awards.

Mr Cowie said: “We’re thrilled to win two awards when we were up against so many talented accountancy firms. Both accolades are a reflection of the commitment and talent of everyone at Infinity. The awards are recognition of another successful year of growth, with many companies moving to us for modern, proactive accountancy and advisory services.”

The latest success follows on from winning at the British Accountancy Awards for the fifth year in a row in September 2019.

IRIS is the UK’s largest privately held software firm. It supports more than 80,000 businesses with a range of functions including accountancy, payroll and HR.

Elona Mortimer-Zhika, CEO at IRIS Software Group, said: “Congratulations to Infinity Partnership on the double win. They personify first-class excellence and go above and beyond compliance to serve clients. The journey and vision they set out for not only their clients but also their employees have helped them to stand out amongst a close shortlist. Infinity Partnership continues to go from strength to strength, and Simon is leading the way. He’s living proof that managers are at the heart of business success.”
