Scottish law firm, Gillespie Macandrew, has expanded its Glasgow offering with the opening of new premises in the city centre.

The new office, at 163 West George Street, more than doubles its footprint in the city and provides a better base from which to service its growing commercial real estate, housebuilder, energy and land and rural client base in the west.

Headed up by commercial property partner Greg Peebles and construction and dispute resolution partner Isobell Reid, the Glasgow team has seen considerable growth since it was first established in 2015.

Recent hires to the Glasgow office include Keith Emmerson, construction law specialist, and Hayley Swanson who has recently joined the firm’s dispute resolution team.

This expansion forms part of the firm’s strategy to grow its Glasgow presence across its core areas of practice of Commercial Real Estate, Energy, Private Client and Land and Rural Business.

CEO Robert Graham-Campbell said: “This is a much-needed new home for our team and a base from which we aim to grow and consolidate our presence in Glasgow. This expanded space demonstrates our continued commitment to the west, and will allow us to serve our clients better across Scotland.”

Glasgow head Greg Peebles, said: “This is a very exciting time for us, and a real opportunity for growth. We look forward to welcoming new and existing clients into our new space.”

Gillespie Macandrew provides legal services to businesses and individuals from its offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth.

The firm’s sectoral specialisms include land and rural affairs, energy, private client, including tax, and commercial real estate, and has a growing presence in the corporate business market.

The Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth teams serve clients from across Scotland and the UK, combining a personal approach with industry-leading expertise.
