French Duncan appoints new partner
Accountants and business advisors French Duncan have appointed a new partner in their corporate advisory team.
Iain Walker has been promoted from director to partner from 1st May and will continue to work with the team to build the firms’ rapidly expanding corporate advisory work.
Graeme Finnie, managing partner of French Duncan, said: “Iain joined the corporate advisory team two and a half years ago and he has made a huge difference in that time. Through his hard work, extensive contacts, and his skills and knowledge he has brought in several clients for the firm as well as helped existing clients with important and substantial deals.”
Last year French Duncan Corporate Advisory advised on 25 deals worth approximately £200m in the private and public sectors and Iain was an integral part of that success. Deal values ranged up to £60m across various sectors including engineering, hotels & hospitality, aerospace, technology, care homes, manufacturing, property and construction.
Mr Walker said: “I am delighted to be made a partner with the firm. The corporate advisory team have been doing some outstanding work and we are going to build on that success in the coming years.
“We had a fantastic 2018 and we find that the appetite for deal making remains positive, with business owners continuing to be active.”
He added: “I look forward to working with our strong corporate advisory team to make 2019 as successful as last year helping businesses to grow and business owners fulfil their ambitions.”
