Former Superdry CFO joins board of Irn-Bru maker

AG Barr, which produces and markets some of the UK’s leading drink brands, including Irn-Bru, Rubicon, Strathmore and Funkin, has announced that Nicholas (Nick) Wharton will join the Board as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 November.

Mr Wharton was most recently chief financial officer of high street clothing brand Superdry plc until retiring in July 2018 and is currently a non-executive director of Mothercare plc.

AG Barr said he brings extensive financial and commercial experience to its board, having held a range of senior roles across FMCG and retail including Dunelm, Halfords, Boots and Cadbury Schweppes.
