Fore will be renamed Galactic Media with Fore directors Stuart Stott and Neil Winston holding the majority of shares.

Asim Sarwar invested in the company, marking the firm’s first-ever third party investment. Mr Sarwar owns United Wholesale Scotland and has a proven track record of growing profitable companies as demonstrated by United Wholesale Scotland, Day-Today convenience stores, U-Save convenience stores, Right Dose Pharmacies and German Donner Kebab, which is now a global food brand.

Galactic Media’s board of directors will include Michael Speh, a highly-respected global strategist, who has been appointed as president of Galactic Media. Mr Speh comes with a wealth of experience having worked in executive roles for brands such as Bentley, Volkswagen and Nissan. He has directed operations in South Korea, India, the Middle East, South America, mainland Europe and the UK. He brings a global perspective to Galactic Media and will take the business to new and exciting places.

All of the employees have been retained, except for five individuals.

Galactic Media will launch in March this year.

The group will be comprised of the following four dedicated agencies:

  • Trace Studio - a visualisation studio specialising in animation, CGI and product design for property, automotive and product development markets. Trace will also release Foundation a turnkey interactive virtual tour & reservation platform for residential and commercial property.
  • Social Space - a social first media agency; that will develop brand strategies, content and production for brands looking to conquer the social media space.
  • Audio Frontier - a podcast & audio studio; specialising in podcast for brands, original content and audio production.
  • Galactic Experience - an experiential agency which utilises the latest in mixed reality technology to deliver interactive experiences for tours, events and live entertainment.

Stuart Stott, CEO of Galactic Media, said: “The steps we took were the right response to the challenges we faced trying to commercialise new opportunities. Last year was a very difficult period for all concerned. However, we are taking important steps to unleash the potential of the business and the investment from United Wholesale will provide us with the working capital that is required to commercialise new markets.

“We are also truly excited to have someone of Michael Speh’s calibre joining our board and are confident that he will open-up opportunities for us. Obtaining outside investment and having experienced directors on the board such as Asim Sarwar and Michael were two of the things that I identified as things that we had to do differently. We have talented and dedicated employees and great clients, so I am confident and optimistic about the future.”

Asim Sarwar of United Wholesale Scotland, added: “The media landscape has changed dramatically over the past three years with social media, technology and new media formats dominating the future of how we consume information.

“There is great potential synergy between our existing business interests and Galactic Media. We are excited to be involved at the start of Galactic Media’s journey and are confident we can help grow the group into a major player within the global media market.”
