Scottish tax and business advisory practice EQ Accountants LLP has announced plans to expand its Dundee premises to accommodate significant growth which it expects to continue.

The firm, which also has offices in Forfar, Cupar and Glenrothes, is expanding its City Quay premises by incorporating the 2,300 sq ft unit next door, which was acquired at the end of 2018.

The work to renovate and connect the additional space commenced last week, and will create an office of around 8,500 sq ft. This will complete a £1.25 million investment in the City Quay property by EQ in the last two years.

The development follows a near 70 per cent increase in headcount within the Dundee office since 2015. With 54 people now in place, the firm has recruited into its client service teams and across central services, at all levels from school leavers and graduates, to experienced professionals.

Managing partner David Cameron said: “We are delighted to be expanding into these new premises which reinforces our long-term commitment to the city.

“With growing demand for the services we provide, it’s crucial that we have the right people in place, and the space to accommodate them comfortably. Our effective recruitment processes are ensuring that we have the necessary resources as we move forward.

“With plans to recruit across all areas of the business in the months ahead, our expanded premises will allow us to accommodate our growing team and provide them with a working environment they can thrive in and be proud of.”
