Mr Bone joins from CMS Window Systems and previously worked with EICC CEO Marshall Dallas during a seven-year stint as finance manager at Nuffield Health.

Marshall Dallas said: “Stuart joins our team as we face, in common with the rest of the UK business events industry, the most challenging time in recent history. At the same time, we remain confident about a phased-in return of business events over time and we know we will be a stronger business when we come out of COVID-19. Having Stuart on board is a great fit and we look forward to his contributions going forward.”

Stuart Bone added: “I am delighted to have joined the EICC’s Executive Team who are responsible for, Scotland’s leading conference centre. The organisation has been on a sustainable growth trajectory over the last five years having grown revenues in the corporate and international association markets and whilst this is a challenging time for the events industry, I’m energised to help the EICC team through this difficult period. We hope to welcome business events back to our venue in the near future.”

In May, the EICC launched a new hybrid events model, Make it Edinburgh Live, which was created to enable the venue team to run conferences and events entirely online or via a combination of online and in situ.
