The restaurant on Dock Street’s potential shut down follows the closure of the nearby Castlehill and Giza eateries.

The Evening Telegraph reports that the Kobee, which operated primarily as a steakhouse, could re-open its doors imminently under a new branding offering a different cuisine.

Kobee’s website and social media page both remain active with no explanation as to why the restaurant has closed its doors.

Representatives of Kobee declined to comment on the issue.

Castlehill on Exchange Street also shut shop on Tuesday this week, announcing via its social media page that the business had closed with immediate effect, leaving eight full time and part-time staff without a job.

Prior to these closures, Mediterranean restaurant Giza, on the city’s High Street also closed down claiming issues with equipment facilitated the closure.
