French Duncan Managing Partner, Graeme Finnie, said: “We are delighted to play a part in bringing closer together Scotland’s vibrant arts and corporate communities through what is, for our firm, an innovative partnership with a leading arts organisation.

“As a Corporate Sponsor Supporter, it is our hope that our support will assist National Theatre of Scotland in the creation of its ground-breaking productions and help further cement its enviable reputation as a significant theatrical player on the world stage.”

Under the agreement, French Duncan will host clients at pre-show receptions; post-show drinks; meet the cast and creative team atevents and rehearsal room insight evenings.

Elly Rothnie, director of development at National Theatre of Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be working with French Duncan on this exciting partnership. The Driver’s Seat promises to be one of the highlights of our 2015 Belong programme and we’re looking forward to providing unforgettable experiences for French Duncan’s clients and colleagues at our productions across the year.”

As French Duncan is sponsoring the arts for the first time, the partnership was also able to secure matched funding through the Arts & Business Scotland New Arts Sponsorship Grants scheme doubling the value of the sponsorship to both National Theatre of Scotland and French Duncan.

Adapted and directed by the National Theatre of Scotland’s artistic director Laurie Sansom, The Driver’s Seat is the first theatrical presentation of Muriel Spark’s psychologically thrilling 1970 short novel which plays at the Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh and Tramway, Glasgow from 13 June 2015.

French Duncan is one of the largest mid-tier accountancy practices in Scotland with 20 partners, a fee income of £10 million, nearly 200 employees and a network of offices spanning Scotland’s Central Belt.
