Business Gateway Lanarkshire to host free workshop for business award entrants

Businesses interested in applying for the 2020 Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards can take part in a free advice workshop.

The annual awards, hosted by North and South Lanarkshire Councils, celebrate the best local businesses across a range of ten categories and are open to businesses of all sizes, in all sectors operating in Lanarkshire.

o support businesses through the application process and give them the best chance of success, a free workshop hosted by Business Gateway Lanarkshire takes place on Wednesday 8 January at 1.30pm in Atrium Business Centre, North Caldeen Road, Coatbridge, ML5 4EF.



The award categories this year are:

  • Excellence in Customer Service Award, sponsored by Visit Lanarkshire
  • Lanarkshire’s Best New Business, sponsored by LESL
  • Lanarkshire’s Best New Product or Service, sponsored by Business Gateway Lanarkshire
  • Lanarkshire Community Impact Award, sponsored by Morgan Sindall
  • Lanarkshire’s Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by CMS Windows
  • Lanarkshire’s Best Family Business, sponsored by Masonry Solutions
  • Lanarkshire’s Employer of the Year, sponsored by North Lanarkshire’s Working
  • Lanarkshire’s Best Business (0-10 Employees), sponsored by Clyde Gateway
  • Lanarkshire’s Best Business (11-50 Employees), sponsored by City Facilities Management
  • Lanarkshire’s Best Business (51+Employees), sponsored by UKSE

Application for the awards is free, and Lanarkshire based businesses can apply for up to two categories.

The deadline for all entries is Monday 20 January 2020.

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony and dinner on Friday 1 May 2020 at Motherwell Concert Hall.
