Azets, the accountancy firm that was previously known as Campbell Dallas and Scott Moncrieff in Scotland, has appointed 31 graduate trainees and apprentices across Scotland.

Since 2013, 150 graduate trainees and apprentices have been recruited across Scotland by Azets and the former firms.

Commenting on the latest appointments, Chris Horne, regional CEO in Scotland, said: “Investing in new talent is a priority for the business and we are delighted to be welcoming the largest number of graduate and apprenticeship appointments we have made in Scotland.

“We are all facing unprecedented challenges, and I know some firms have delayed or cancelled their graduate intakes but it is essential that we take the long view and continue to attract and develop young people into the profession.

“Business, the economy and society are changing at a rapid rate, but those changes will provide our new recruits with a range of experiences that will serve them well as they develop their careers.

“The accountancy profession is facing significant change with a rapid move to the digitisation of services and service delivery. Attracting, developing and retaining new talent is a key strategy for the business and we were determined to maintain our investment in the next generation of local talent rather than react to COVID by deferring the intake for a year or more.”

He added: “We have ambitious plans to expand the business and now as part of the Azets Group will be able to provide clients with access to an extensive range of digitally-led services, expertise and resources, including the Group’s proprietary digital workplace technology CoZone.

“There has probably never been a more exciting time to start a career in accountancy and our new recruits will be joining a mobile, progressive accountancy business that will give them access to outstanding career opportunities.”
