Assetz Capital appoints Lucie Martin as relationship director for Scotland
Peer-to-peer lender Assetz Capital has appointed Lucie Martin as its relationship director for Scotland.
Originally from Australia, Ms Martin has held various positions at some of the biggest firms in the country such as National Australia Bank, BNP Paribas and Westpac.
Before joining Assetz, she held the position of head of origination for Scotland and North East England for Allied Irish Bank. Prior to this, she also worked for CYBG and TSB Bank in various credit risk roles.
In her new role at Assetz Capital, Ms Martin will be responsible for deal origination in Scotland with a particular focus on lending in the care home sector.
She will work with brokers and intermediaries to provide property developers and businesses with commercial mortgages, development finance loans, bridging finance and property investment finance. In addition to this, Lucie will be aiming to expand Assetz Capital’s reach for introduced business from the professional services sector.
Ms Martin said: “It’s a great time to be joining the Assetz team in Scotland. It is well-known to developers that Scotland needs more homes, so it is important that lenders such as ourselves are providing the capital they require to help meet this demand for new houses. With a strong background in credit and real estate investment, I believe my knowledge of the market will prove valuable as we seek out more investment opportunities across the country.”
