A man who broke Covid-19 quarantine rules for just eight seconds has been fined nearly £2,700.
The man briefly stepped out of his hotel room in Taiwan’s Kaohsiung City while under strict orders to quarantine, CNN reports.
He was spotted on CCTV exiting his room into the hallway for eight seconds, leading staff to report him to health authorities.
The Department of Health fined the man 100,000 Taiwan dollars, equivalent to roughly £2,660.
