A plumbing company in Japan has branched out into fashion by launching a new line of business suits aimed at blue-collar workers.
Oasys Lifestyle first produced the washable business suit as an in-house uniform for its plumbing operation.
However, it has now spun off production to Oasys Style Wear Inc. and hopes the new look will be popular.
A waste collection company and an apartment building maintenance company have already adopted the suits as their new uniforms, The Japan Times reports.
Oasys spokesperson Hayato Suhara said he hoped the products could help challenge bad stereotypes about blue-collar workers.
